Aloha all,
It has taken awhile, but I wanted to be sure to write. (Ben, I baked cookies anyway)
I woke up. I got out of bed. I brushed my teeth. I took a shower. I got dressed. I ate breakfast. I left for work. I rode the bus. I realised everyone was laughing at me. I had worn mismatched shoes!
It was a perfect intro for my lesson on narrative past tenses. I had been working on timelines, and tweaking my explanations about earlier past for a week, but I was still quite stressed about teaching that lesson. An evening with the ELT Springboard and a few drinks later, I had a plan. I saw lightbulbs going off in the faces of my students, which was reward enough, but I also received an unexpected ‘above standard’ grade for my lesson. I passed the CELTA course with an above standard overall. I am honored to count myself among EL teachers.
That one night spent with this group helped me more than I can express. I thank you all for the opportunity to be a part of it!
Brilliant! Congratulations!

Wonderful to hear such great feedback. Teachers connecting with teachers is such a terrific way to share practical tips and reflections. And your comment shows how invaluable this is Laura.
Congratulations Ben and Dave for getting this project started in Bern.
